We are always looking for passionate and creative minds to explore the frontiers of global ecology.

🎓Prospective Students

We welcome students with a strong interest in macroecology, biogeography, and functional ecology to join our group. The lab recruits master and doctoral students on a year‑round basis.

📌 Application requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in ecology, geography, biology, or a related field;
  • Strong data analysis skills (experience with R or Python is preferred);
  • Good command of English;
  • Passion for research, diligence, integrity, and team spirit.

💼Open Positions

Visiting Scholar/Student

  • Domestic and international researchers, PhD students, and master students are welcome to join the lab for short‑term visits (3–12 months) to pursue collaborative research.
  • Please contact the PI in advance to discuss the research plan and financial support.

Postdoctoral Fellows

We invite highly motivated PhD graduates with strong independent research ability to join our lab. Research directions include, but are not limited to: global change ecology, big‑data analysis of functional traits, and forest ecosystem modelling.

📌 Basic requirements

  • A PhD degree (or imminent completion) in ecology, geography, remote sensing, bioinformatics, or a related field;
  • At least one first‑author publication in a high‑impact SCI journal;
  • Solid statistical or modelling skills, proficient in R/Python;
  • Good English writing and communication skills.

📌 Salary and support

  • Annual salary follows Nankai University’s postdoctoral funding standards; exceptionally outstanding candidates may be nominated for the “National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents”;
  • Support for applying for the NSFC Young Scientists Fund, Postdoctoral Science Foundation, etc.;
  • Outstanding postdocs will be assisted in applying for faculty positions at Nankai University or other Chinese institutions after completion.
